    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p>The Process Dev Engineering Scientific Associate will be part of a team responsible for process development and optimization, as well as characterization of cell product for ongoing and future projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The key responsibilities that the candidate will be focused is described as follows:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform routine stem cell isolation processes by using automated cell processing system</li>\n <li>Support execution of lab-based Process Development activities and experiments</li>\n <li>Prepare related media and buffers in a sterile aseptic environment</li>\n <li>Generate samples for analytical assays and coordinate with Analytical team to plan timely analysis</li>\n <li>Maintain detailed and organized electronic lab notebook to document lab activities</li>\n <li>Write reports summarizing procedures, experiments, and data</li>\n <li>Present experiment design, data, and updates internally to the team</li>\n <li>Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of scientists and engineersEducation and Experience:</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sciences with 0-2+ years of relevant work or lab experience. </li>\n <li>Hands-on experience in aseptic techniques, cell handling, cell culturing, media and buffer preparation is preferrable</li>\n <li>Solid foundation in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ect.) – experience with other scientific software such as JMP, GraphPad Prism, etc., are a bonus.</li>\n <li>Must be able to proactively communicate with the team, be organized, and maintain accurate records.</li>\n <li>Basic experience in statistical analysis, creating graphs, writing protocols and reports and presenting data in scientific manner.</li>\n <li>HSC isolation and culture experience</li>\n <li>Have experiences on Prodigy, Rotea, Electroporation, Cytiva Sefia,</li>\n <li>Have experience on data analysis with JMP</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Contract Length:</strong> 6 months with the chance to extend.</p>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>\n<p>$30-$33/hr</p>\n<h2>Shift/Hours</h2>\n<p>Monday–Friday; occasional weekend availability required.</p>\n<h2>Requisition Disclaimer</h2>\n<p>This job posting is for a temporary role with a third-party agency partner on assignment at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (“Vertex”).
