    "description": "<p><span>Type of Law: Prosecution of State crimes occurring within the geographical jurisdiction of Charles County, Maryland.</span><span><br></span><span><br></span><span>Job Description:  ASAs will</span><span> </span><span>appear in the Circuit Court for Charles County, Maryland and represent the State in criminal cases.  Each attorney is responsible for litigating his/her assigned cases</span><span>,</span><span> to include advising police entities on investigations, reviewing and approving search and seizure warrants, providing discovery, summonsing and interviewing witnesses</span><span>,</span><span> obtaining physical and digital evidence for use at trial, preparing pleadings, </span><span>litigating pre-trial </span><span>motions,</span><span> litigating jury/bench trials,</span><span> </span><span>litigating </span><span>sentencing </span><span>hearings</span><span>, litigating </span><span>hearings on </span><span>post-conviction</span><span> and </span><span>reconsideration of sentence motions</span><span>, and other duties as assigned.</span><span><br></span><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span>Starting Salary: $120,000.  Starting salary dependent upon prior prosecutorial experience.   Medical, dental and pension benefits included. <br><br>Experience: 10+ years of experience.
