This role provides nutrition education to persons served and correctional staff while serving as a nutrition resource within the facility. Working under the direction of licensed medical leadership, the position collaborates with healthcare staff to support nutritional care and counseling. The role also ensures required documentation, reporting, and compliance activities are completed accurately and on time.\n<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct nutritional assessments, develop care plans, and document findings in accordance with state regulations and facility requirements.</li>\n <li>Provide nutrition counseling, education, and instruction to patients, high-risk participants, and staff as needed.</li>\n <li>Collaborate and consult with healthcare personnel and physicians to support patient nutritional needs.</li>\n <li>Ensure timely completion and submission of required nutrition service plans and updates.</li>\n <li>Support staff orientation, training, and interview processes as needed while serving as a nutrition resource.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>Additional Details</strong></h2>Must have a current (and must maintain) an unrestricted Registered Dietitian license\n<h2><strong>Qualifications & Requirements</strong></h2>\n<p>Education</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school and specialized training for licensing/certification(s)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Experience</p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian</li>\n <li>Experience within a correctional/detention facility preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Licenses/Certifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current (and must maintain) unrestricted Registered Dietitian license in state of practice</li>\n <li>Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHA</li>\n <li>Current (and must maintain) lifesaving ACLS certification through AHA preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer</strong></h2>\n<p>We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>We encourage you to apply!</strong> If you are excited about a role but your experience doesn’t seem to align perfectly with every element of the job description, we encourage you to apply.
