Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.<br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br>&nbsp;</p><p>• Maintain complete knowledge of all services related to the hotel.</p><p>• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information as required by the hotel.</p><p>• Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost.</p><p>• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.</p><p>• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.</p><p>• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.</p><p>• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick-up areas.</p><p>• Sweep or scrub floors.</p><p>• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in service stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.</p><p>• Receive and store supplies.</p><p>• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.</p><p>• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using dollies.</p><p>• Meet with the Stewarding Supervisor to review assignments, anticipate business levels, changes, and other information pertinent to the job performance.</p><p>• Prepare and organize all items needed from different areas to ensure all items are in place and ready for service.</p><p>• Review the status of work and follow-up actions required with the Stewarding Supervisor prior to leaving.</p><p>• Take reasonable and necessary precautions to ensure personal health and safety.</p><p>• Report to management (or follow procedure as established in Safety Program, Policies and Procedures), all conditions that may be affecting the safety and health of the workplace.</p><p>• Report to management all occurrences that cause injury or damage to any person or property.</p><p>• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.<br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br>To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required</p><p>• 1+ year experience as a steward or runner in a food serving facility.&nbsp;</p><p>• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest service.</p><p>• Basic Knowledge of the English language.</p><p>• High School diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.</p><p>• Hospitality experience.</p><p>• Sanitation certificate.</p><p>• Food handling certified.</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATION:</strong></p><p>Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the safety or health of the employee or others. To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed above represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
