Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements. Seneca Foods in Baraboo, WI is currently seeking a Machinist to join our team! A Machinist produces precisely engineered parts used to build can manufacturing equipment. Their duties include completing repairs, setting up equipment, operating equipment, and inspecting finished parts. Responsibilities: Layout and install machinery. Layout and perform various fabrication, repair or modify assessments. Read interpret blueprints. Make up, repair, adjust, and maintain various conveying equipment including elevators, palletizers, track work, and cableways. Use various hand and power tools. Ability to weld and buildup worn machine parts using gas or electric welding equipment. Ability to determine and make most efficent set-ups. Ensure that GMP's (General Manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Technical degree preferred, but not required. Knowledge of mechanical principles involved in repair and overhaul work. Familiar with hand tools, power tools, hoists, lubricating equipment, gas and electrical welding, and buring appartus. Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment. Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
