Compensation ranges listed elsewhere are not provided or confirmed by Ag Partners.</em></span></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations during the shift, including cleaning plant processes, load-out operations, and supervising warehouse attendants. This role ensures operational efficiency, adherence to safety protocols, and the timely shipment of products. The Shift Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining a safe and productive work environment while fostering communication and collaboration between shifts.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong></p><p>(Includes the following and other duties may be assigned.)</p><ul><li>Lead and coordinate the activities of the shift team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to daily schedules.</li><li>Oversee cleaning plant operations to maintain equipment functionality and meet quality standards.</li><li>Manage load-out operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of product shipment.</li><li>Supervise and mentor warehouse attendants, promoting teamwork and productivity.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards.</li><li>Assist in inventory management.</li><li>Communicate effectively with other shifts to ensure seamless transitions and operational efficiency.</li><li>Providing a high level of customer service.</li><li>Adherence to safety policies and providing safety leadership.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintaining a clean and attractive workplace.&nbsp;</li><li>Reporting opportunities for increased sales and improved efficiencies in operations of the location to the Location Manager.&nbsp;</li><li>Promoting and adhering to the company Core Values of honesty, integrity &amp; teamwork.</li><li>Adhering to cooperative credit policy.</li><li>Securing facilities and equipment when closing.</li><li>Promptly and regularly report to work and work overtime hours as needed.</li><li>Present a clean and professional appearance.</li><li>Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Directly supervises the Warehouse Attendants at the location(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization&rsquo;s policies and applicable laws. &nbsp;Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS &nbsp;</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. &nbsp;The qualifications, demands and environments described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. &nbsp;The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. &nbsp;Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Previous experience related to grain, feed, fertilizer, chemicals and/or farms supplies is preferred.</p><p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. &nbsp;Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. &nbsp; Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the cooperative. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. &nbsp;Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and weights.</p><p><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS</strong></p><p>This position does not require certificates, licenses and/or registration.</p><p><strong>REASONING ABILITY</strong></p><p>The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. &nbsp;Able to deal with problems with several concrete variables in standard situations. &nbsp;Must be able to think quickly and perform a mental assessment of workplace hazards, take appropriate precautions, and choose appropriate PPE as dictated by need, regulation and labeling.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. &nbsp;Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.&nbsp;</p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and/or smell. &nbsp;The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
