You'll be instrumental in creating this fun and engaging environment where children can grow, learn, and have a blast!</p>\n\n<p>This part-time opportunity requires you to be available <strong>Monday-Friday from school dismissal to 6:00 p.m. on school days. </strong>We offer a flexible schedule that allows you to balance work with other activities. Counselors are responsible for supervising and leading groups of children through an exciting and varied curriculum of games and activities.</p>\n\n<p>Schools served: Paine, Cahaba, Magnolia</p>\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> </p>\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Essential Functions:</p>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li dir=\"ltr\">\n\t<p dir=\"ltr\">Engages and supervises a group of children. Program hours are Monday - Friday from school dismissal (varies per site) to 6:00 pm.</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li dir=\"ltr\">\n\t<p dir=\"ltr\">Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with YMCA core curriculum components.</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li dir=\"ltr\">\n\t<p dir=\"ltr\">Adheres to program standards, including safety and cleanliness standards.</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li dir=\"ltr\">\n\t<p dir=\"ltr\">Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li dir=\"ltr\">\n\t<p dir=\"ltr\">Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff.
