We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>A Fred Hutch Cancer Center ARNP/PA-C is a certified physician assistant or advanced registered nurse practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management of multiple service lines of adult oncology patients at our community site at Northwest Hospital. They will actively coordinate the complex care of cancer patients undergoing both systemic anti-cancer therapy and radiation therapy. The incumbent will manage side-effects of these therapies, order appropriate laboratory and radiographic studies; prescribe medications and refer patients to other specialists as necessary.  The incumbent may provide for post-treatment cancer patients follow-up visits for the medically indicated period after completion of treatment. The incumbent will also provide psychological support to patients by participating in patient and/or family teaching and refer patients to community agencies and other resources to promote optimal adjustment and functioning. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position requires the ability to lead other clinical staff, be accountable for the work required in this position, the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment, and the relentless pursuit of excellent patient centered care.  This clinic provides a broad range of services including GI, Lung, GU, Breast, and Hematologic Malignancies and Radiation therapy.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs complex and problem-focused H & P’s</li>\n <li> Evaluates and manages on-treatment and post-treatment side effects, as well as long-term surveillance and survivorship issues.</li>\n <li> Performs procedures according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice</li>\n <li> Collaborates and consults with other disciplines and services to ensure safe, effective, and timely treatment as well as continuity of patient care.</li>\n <li> Participates in the conduct of cancer clinical research</li>\n <li> Provides patient, caregiver, and peer education</li>\n <li> Communicates effectively with inpatient and outpatient teams</li>\n <li> Participates in patient rounds, conferences and committees</li>\n <li> Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program awarding a Master’s degree. Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.</li>\n <li>Licensed to practice in the state of Washington. </li>\n <li>DEA license upon credentialing/start.</li>\n <li>ACLS within 3 months of hire.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1 year of ARNP or PA-C experience in Medical Oncology preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The annual base salary range for this position is from $131,000 to $201,456, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
