Position Overview Reporting to the Store Leader, the Assistant Store Leader of Visual Merchandising directs activities required to achieve store goals. In addition to driving high levels of guest and associate engagement, these goals include sales objectives, payroll and expense management, loss prevention targets and merchandise presentation standards. The Visual Assistant Store Leader provides guests with exceptional service by building relationships, sharing product knowledge and creating a well-designed, compelling store environment. This leader drives excellence and provides leadership in all aspects of store operations with a special focus on elevating the quality and consistency visual design. Primary Responsibilities People · Foster a guest-focused team environment through service excellence · Serve as a positive role model, ensuring that the guest remains the top priority for all associates · Proactively provide timely feedback to associates, rewarding and recognizing achievement · Hold self and others accountable for performance · Manage conflict by applying company recommended processes, standards and guidelines · Empower and engage associates in decision-making processes · Embrace feedback and foster solution-driven dialog · Develop associates through an individualized development plans, matching talent with developmental tasks · Cultivate team commitment through support, relationship building, and recognizing individual contributions · Successfully navigate change and adversity · Make recommendations on hiring, promotions, and terminations of associates based on qualifications and performance · Facilitate associate and keyholder training Process · Consistently meet or exceed store and individual goals · Plan, execute and maintain floor sets, refreshes and window installations · Lead floor sets/refresh management, manage seasonal décor placement · Co-manage product replenishment · Manage mannequin placement and design · Co-manages store atmosphere – scent, music, lay out · Control workflow through successful planning and delegation · Execute task directives within designated time frames · Complete opening/closing procedures · Adhere to loss prevention practices and report potential incidents · Communicate effectively with executive team Presentation · Utilize and manage the use of weekly reporting to track, analyze and communicate business results and determine strategies to maximize sales · Interpret Home Office visual communication through Store Leader / District Leader partnership · Partner with the Visual District Leader to oversee and manage the roll-out of floor sets, window sets, fixture placement and overall visual environment · Maintain an awareness of brand aesthetic and relevance to the store environment · Manage placement of new product · Communicate product performance and offer feedback to the Visual District Leader Desired Skills and Abilities · Superior guest service skills · Superior creative and visual design skills · Strong supervisory skills with an ability to coach and develop others · Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to tailor communication to various audiences · Excellent self-awareness and relationship management skills · Strong organization skills with an attention to detail and an ability to prioritize effectively · Excellent problem-solving skills · Physical ability to perform tasks, which could require prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling and / or squatting frequently. May be required to occasionally climb ladders, climb and descend stairs frequently, depending on location. Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds regularly without assistance.
