    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">Due to increased demand for our Electronic Design Services, Optimum (an Emerald Technologies company) is currently seeking passionate Principal H/W Design Engineers that are well versed circuit design of Digital, Analog, and Power technologies to join our world-class design team working from home.</p><p>As a Principal H/W Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Design of electronic hardware and software that meet our customers&rsquo; quality and delivery requirements.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Apply independence and creativity to drive project design scope and deliverables.</li><li>Develop Functional Design Specifications.</li><li>Circuit design: Digital, Analog, and Power.</li><li>PCIe, DDR, Microprocessor, DSP, etc.</li></ul><ul><li>I2C, SPI, PCIe, DDR3+, Ethernet, USB, CSI, DSI, etc.</li><li>Analog/RF experience is a plus.</li><li>BLE and/or WiFi experience a plus.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Schematic Capture and Layout Review/Guidance/Management.</li><li>Pre&amp;Post Signal and Power Integrity analysis (optional).</li><li>FPGA and CPLD design (Verilog, VHDL).</li><li>FPGA test benches and verification (ModelSim, Xilinx, Altera, etc.).</li><li>Develop test plans/methods to ensure product reliability and performance targets are met.</li><li>Prototype bring up and system integration.</li><li>Working knowledge of EMC/CE/UL compliance requirements.</li><li>Software and Firmware development.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>10+ years of experience</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.</li><li>Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).</li><li>Expert user of one or more of the following tools: Siemens DxDesigner (preferred), Altium and Xpedition-DxDesigner.</li><li>Application of formal project management and system engineering methodologies to development of complex, high performance electronics systems..</li><li>Work history in aerospace/defense market a plus.</li></ul><p>Optimum is recognized as one of the most respected electronic design services company in the US and Australia.
