We are constantly winning new contracts and are looking for new inspectors to staff these projects. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>We are seeking qualified construction inspectors, resident engineers and field office document control specialists for transportation facilities, marine/port facilities, and related underground utility construction projects in the Pittsburgh Region and western Pennsylvania. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Requirements: &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum of 2 years of specific field construction inspection experience in the specified areas listed below. An Associate or Bachelor degree can be substituted for years of experience.&nbsp;<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Inspection Skills - Applicants must have demonstrated inspection experience in one or more of the following categories:&nbsp;</li></ul></li></ul><ul><ul><li>Roadway &amp; bridge construction including related storm drainage/ SWM.&nbsp;</li><li>Requires expertise and experience related to new construction or rehabilitation projects requiring monitoring a contractor&rsquo;s work for conformance to the design plans, specifications and general permit requirements; experience tracking daily quantities, completing daily inspection reports, reviewing payment requisitions and maintaining field sketchbooks and as-built drawings. &nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>&nbsp;Additional Training or Certifications - NECEPT Bituminous, NECEPT Concrete, all NICET Levels and ATSSA Traffic Control certifications desirable &nbsp;</li><li>High School Diploma or State Equivalency Certificate for inspection positions; BS Civil Engineering and/or CCM certification for Resident Engineer and Construction Management positions&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license and personal vehicle for travel to and from assigned construction sites&nbsp;</li><li>Must have good communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to read/interpret plans and specifications&nbsp;</li><li>Writing and drawing skills are necessary to complete inspection reports and sketch books&nbsp;</li><li>Basic computer skills (Word &amp; Excel) are required for completing electronic inspection reports&nbsp;</li><li>Construction Management Software Experience is desirable - Specific experience with PENNDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission Construction Management/Inspection web-based software- e.g., CDS NeXtGen, eCAMMS, ECMS Wave II, Multivista, SharePoint, and Kahua Project Management &amp; Collaboration are additional desirable qualifications. &nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Physical Requirements (Essential Functions):</strong></p><p>This position requires the ability to perform a variety of physical tasks in the field as part of the essential job functions. Duties may include:&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Walking and navigating across rough or uneven terrain such as mud, rocks, grass, dirt, steep hillsides, heavily wooded areas, and other unpaved surfaces</li><li>Moving around active project sites, which may involve climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles</li><li>Performing physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and climbing</li><li>Remaining in a stationary position&mdash;either standing or sitting&mdash;for extended periods of time</li><li>Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers</li><li>Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and/or carting objects up to 50 lbs distances up to100 yards. &nbsp;</li><li>Driving to and from project sites which may involve distances of up to or exceeding 120 miles round trip.</li><li>Must be able to function safely in an environment with potential risks, including, but not limited to those described in this document.</li><li>Work from heights exceeding 6 feet</li><li>Must be able to wear a properly fitted safety harness and be knowledgeable of the correct use and of regular inspection of the harness and components</li><li><strong>Must be willing to work nights and overtime, when required by the project assignment</strong></li></ul><p>The work environment may include exposure to a range of environmental conditions, including high and low temperatures, precipitation, and other outdoor elements.
