Your adventure begins here – because <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Opportunity Changes Everything!</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned program, including developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating plans that meet the needs of children, youth, and families.</li>\n<li>Serve as the<br>Licensed Manager in accordance with Child Care Licensing Regulations, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.</li>\n<li>Supervise, mentor, guide, and lead program staff, when applicable, to support high-quality service delivery.</li>\n<li>Provide daily direction and performance feedback to program staff and volunteers.</li>\n<li>Directly supervise program members, ensuring their health, safety, and overall well-being.</li>\n<li>Create and distribute program activity calendars for members and families.</li>\n<li>Complete general administrative tasks, including data entry for attendance and calendars.</li>\n<li>Orient new families and members to the program and the Club.</li>\n<li>Build relationships with the children, youth, and families within their designated programs. Establishes open communication with parents/caregivers. Identifies families who require additional support and connects them with appropriate resources. </li>\n<li>Provides group and/or individual behavior management and support.</li>\n<li>Conduct monthly and weekly audits and inspections, including reviewing participant files, play space checklists, and other required documentation.</li>\n<li>Ensure all Agency Policies and Procedures, Program Operating Standards, WCB standards, Community Care Licensing Regulations, Risk Management requirements, and general safety standards are consistently met and followed by all staff.</li>\n<li>Maintain adequate supplies and equipment to support effective program operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma or certificate in recreation, education, social services, or a related field, and/or relevant experience working with children or youth</li>\n<li>Completion of at least 20 hours of coursework in areas such as child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition (required for licensed programs)</li>\n<li>A minimum of one (1) year of recent, related experience</li>\n<li>Valid First Aid Certificate</li>\n<li>Class 4 Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Please Note:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position is open to all qualified applicants</li>\n<li>This position requires union membership</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours:  </span>25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1pm – 6pm<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Rate of Pay:</span> $22.60 per hour</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing Date:</span> Open until filled </p>\n<p><br><em>As an equal opportunity employer, BGC Okanagan is committed to the prioritization of equitable and inclusive employment practices.
