We’ve been honored as a National Fortune Best Workplace, a Fortune Best Workplace for Women, Millennials, and Parents, and one of America’s Best Employers by Forbes—along with numerous regional recognitions across our 15 offices nationwide.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Here’s a glimpse into what we offer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance.</li>\n <li>Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)<strong> – </strong>Be an employee-owner!</li>\n <li>401(K) with Company Match – Receive a company match up to 4% of your eligible pay.</li>\n <li>Generous Paid Time Off – vacation and sick time, 12 holidays, summer Fridays, and a yearly volunteer day.</li>\n <li>The Extras – Cell phone, laptop, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, financial planning services, and more.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Set expectations and provide structure around site safety with superintendent and subcontractors</li>\n <li>Identify strengths and weaknesses of superintendent around knowledge, create site specific programs when necessary and train accordingly</li>\n <li>Ensure the safety, training and development of Shawmut staff and subcontractors to understand identify and reduce risks in a fast paced construction environment from pre-construction through close-out</li>\n <li>Raise awareness of potential hazards that exist on a jobsite with owner by reviewing what can be done to minimize risk</li>\n <li>Conduct regular safety audits throughout the duration of a project assessing all safety related issues and follow up with the project team</li>\n <li>Communicate directly with subcontractors to discuss concerns and Shawmut's expectations</li>\n <li>Identify poor performing subs by reviewing past performance and work with project executives and project managers to establish a plan to improve</li>\n <li>Maintain the information technology and systems that are essential to capture and analyze key data, present reporting and communicate effectively</li>\n <li>Develop and maintaining strong relationships with every member of the project team, subcontractors and clients</li>\n <li>Raise awareness of potential hazards that exist in the new building with Owner by reviewing with him/her what the hazards are and what can be done to minimize/prevent them</li>\n <li>Conduct new hire safety orientations for incoming construction operations staff</li>\n <li>Train Shawmut staff and subcontractors on topics such as OSHA certification (10 & 30 hour), First Aid, construction specific requirements and new standards review</li>\n <li>Uphold Shawmut Values and 16 Best Practices</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5-7 years of experience in construction safety management</li>\n <li>NYC DOB Licensed Safety Manager is a requirement </li>\n <li>Experience with large projects</li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge of OSHA construction standards, NYC DOB, and FDNY Safety Codes</li>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Safety or related experience preferred</li>\n <li>OSHA 500 trainer preferred</li>\n <li>Capable of delivering all other compliance-based training, including First Aid, CPR, and Life Safety</li>\n <li>Must reside in the tri-state area</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>EEO Information</h2>\n<p>Shawmut prohibits discrimination against any staff member or applicant on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, religion, national origin, marital status, veteran status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, genetic information, disability, creed, citizenship status, or any other legally protected characteristic.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Salary Range Information</h2>\n<p><strong>NYC Base Salary Range: $145,000- $180,000.  </strong>The range stated is specific to New York City.
