The Bowery Mission meets essential needs and creates transformative community with men, women, children, and families in New York so that we can together overcome homelessness and poverty and flourish.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">As a member of the Choose Help team, the Community Life Associate works collaboratively to create a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment that fosters healthy relationships with God and others. This position requires the Community Life Associate to work in the Women's Dorm, overseeing residents during their shift. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Specific Responsibilities but are not limited to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Welcoming and orienting guests and residents while modeling and coaching independent living skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Promoting healthy communication, overseeing resident program schedules.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Ensuring compliance with organization health and safety protocols.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Conducting hourly rounds and scheduled fire drills as necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Submitting required reports in a timely manner and working collaboratively with other organization departments to support program operations.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule: Thursday - Monday: 11:30pm-8:00am (Tuesday/Wednesday off)<br></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Requirements:   </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Embrace's the organization’s Statement of Faith.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">2-3 years relevant experience, with demonstrated strong relational skills.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">High School diploma, GED or higher.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Strong conflict resolution skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Strong verbal and written communications skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Highly relational with strong interpersonal skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Computer &amp; email proficiency.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Preferred:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Prefer associate degree in relevant area.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Certified in Mental Health First Aid.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Certified in Non-violent Crisis Intervention.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Motivational Interviewing.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Trauma-informed Care.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Certified in First Aid/CPR, F-80 Fire Safety. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Naloxone Training.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Salary: $21.63 per hour</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><em>Due to the number of applications we receive, we are only able to respond to qualified candidates who are selected for interviews.
