The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing construction law and handling a broad range of construction-related disputes and transactional matters.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This position requires a high level of initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and clear, professional communication. The attorney will work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm&rsquo;s footprint and interact directly with clients, contractors, and industry professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys seeking to grow their construction practice within a supportive and collegial environment.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction-related contracts and agreements.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Handling mechanic&rsquo;s liens and bond claims, including performance bond and payment bond issues.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Managing claims involving changed conditions, unforeseen site conditions, and scope disputes.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Representing clients in disputes involving wrongful termination, abandonment, acceleration, delay, lost productivity, and liquidated damages.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Addressing claims related to defective plans, specifications, and design issues.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assisting clients with bid protests and procurement-related disputes, when applicable.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Advising clients throughout all phases of construction projects to mitigate risk and resolve disputes efficiently.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Managing deadlines, filings, and procedural requirements across multiple jurisdictions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintaining strong client relationships through responsiveness, strategic guidance, and adherence to client guidelines.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Accurately recording and maintaining billable hours while ensuring all deadlines are met.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Required Skills/Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Admission to practice in the State of New York is required (Admission to practice in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is a plus).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">At least 5 years of experience practicing construction law.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated experience with construction contract drafting and review.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proven experience handling mechanic&rsquo;s liens, bond claims, and construction-related disputes.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal and technical issues.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating effectively with team members.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Why Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady LLP</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">At Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady, we&#39;re building something different.
