The Technician will also develop and implement customized pilot study designs to achieve targeted water treatment objectives and diagnose and resolve customer treatment challenges through process, equipment, and hydraulic design analysis and troubleshooting.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Location: Brooklyn Park, MN</p>\n<p>Travel: 50-80% all across the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada</p>\n<p>Compensation: $60,000-65,000/year</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review and understand pilot plan and protocol in preparation for upcoming pilot tests. </li>\n <li>Prepare pilot water treatment equipment according to plan, protocol, and BOM for pilot operation shipment</li>\n <li>Operate and perform pilot testing: jar testing, adjustment of chemical feeds, meters and values, instruction of engineer and operator, etc. (Uses Hach DR 900 Series test kit for iron, manganese, chlorine, and other contaminant analysis.)</li>\n <li>Set up/tear down of equipment involving plumbing</li>\n <li>Take water samples for analysis</li>\n <li>Submit field and test reports that are timely, concise, and accurate </li>\n <li>Assist internal and external customers in solving field problems</li>\n <li>Independently telephone and follow-up on customer service issues as requested or assigned </li>\n <li>Actively participate in company committees and initiatives (safety, design guides, R&D, etc.) as assigned </li>\n <li>Performance of other technical duties as assigned </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma with at least 2 years post-secondary coursework in science, mechanics, and electronics required</li>\n <li>2-3 years’ experience working with mechanical equipment, tools, controls, plumbing, piping or, related equipment</li>\n <li>Experience as a start-up technician in a related field, taking on progressively more responsibility; or equivalent exposure preferred</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of plumbing, piping, controls, metering and instrumentation </li>\n <li>Knowledge of water chemistry is helpful </li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds</li>\n <li>Ability to travel 50-80% of the time across the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EEO/AA/F/M/Vet/Disabled</strong></p>",
