    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Job Title: Soft Seating Product Development Specialist</p><p>Location: Morristown, TN</p><p>Reports To: Engineering Manager</p><p>Primary duties will include:</p><p>&bull; Create and modify 2D product drawings in AutoCAD, including dimensions, part labeling, and DXF file preparation for manufacturing.</p><p>&bull; Adjust and maintain fabric pattern DXF files with guidance from the design and production teams.</p><p>&bull; Build and assemble plywood frames, foam components, and upholstery samples to validate product designs and ensure production feasibility.</p><p>&bull; Demonstrate correct build methods and manufacturing best practices as a model for the Production team.</p><p>&bull; Develop and document standard work instructions for frame building, foam cutting and glue-up, and upholstery processes.</p><p>&bull; Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Upholstery to troubleshoot design issues and implement corrections.</p><p>&bull; Use measuring equipment and hand tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality.</p><p>&bull; Calculate material usage including foam board feet and fabric yardage to support accurate product costing and planning.</p><p>&bull; Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and revised products.</p><p>&bull; Support the transition from design to manufacturing by ensuring drawings, routings, and process documentation are production-ready.</p><p>&bull; Learn and apply SolidWorks for basic dimensioning and DXF shape creation (training provided).</p><p>&bull; Assist in programming and operating CNC routers using VCarve to support prototype and production needs.</p><p>&bull; Gain working knowledge of foam cutting and fabric cutting equipment and related processes.</p><p>&bull; Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to manufacturability, efficiency, and material optimization.</p><p>&bull; Other duties as assigned.</p><p>Requirements:</p><p>&bull; Previous experience in product development.</p><p>&bull; Furniture industry-specific product experience may be advantageous.</p><p>&bull; Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols.</p><p>&bull; Strong communication and teamwork skills.</p><p>&bull; Excellent math, creativity, and problem-solving skills.</p><p>&bull; Preferred education:</p><p>&bull; High School diploma is preferred, GED required.</p><p>&bull; We will consider additional experience in lieu of diploma.</p><p>.</p><p>The essential physical &amp; environmental requirements of the position are:</p><p>&bull; Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment, heat and cold.</p><p>&bull; Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.</p><p>&bull; Ability to stand prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.</p><p>&bull; Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.</p><p>&bull; Ability to hear sounds and differentiate between them.</p><p>&bull; Ability to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision.</p><p>MooreCo Inc. is the leader in the educational and commercial markets for visual communication products, technology support equipment, and office furniture.
