    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The SR. Estimator accurately estimate the cost, time, materials, labor, and equipment required for a construction project. They perform cost analyses, determine the duration of a project, procure vendors and subcontractors, and ensure that resources are managed and deadlines are met for electrical projects.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review and evaluate project plans and specifications, bid documents, and other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal.</li>\n <li>Calculate the cost of electrical construction based on reviewing and evaluating available documents.</li>\n <li>Analyze project for value engineering options while considering specific job conditions that may affect labor and material to be purchased and installed.</li>\n <li>May oversee and manage estimators.</li>\n <li>Identify any inconsistent issues, conflicts, and other problems in the bid documents.</li>\n <li>Prepares or oversees the development or completion of detailed scope documents, RFPs, RFIs, quotes, and estimates.</li>\n <li>Identify strategies to create bid advantages.</li>\n <li>Anticipate potential problems and devise solutions proactively.</li>\n <li>Prepare “RFI” questions.</li>\n <li>Request material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers.</li>\n <li>Reviews quotes to confirm adherence to quote requests and accuracy of quotes received.</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains a positive relationship with vendors and clients.</li>\n <li>Prepares bid documents including specific scope letter for each project, “Blue Sheets” and “Evaluations” with adjustments for buy-outs, labor rate, productivity, etc.</li>\n <li>Assist in preparing budget pricing.</li>\n <li>Attend estimating/sales meetings, and project meetings to discuss bid status, and present/resolve issues.</li>\n <li>May perform job walks to ensure that any field conditions have been observed that may affect the construction, may impact the prospective bid, and/or may impact the pre-construction designs and the build services.</li>\n <li>Manages preconstruction activities during the design phase on design-build & design-assist projects.</li>\n <li>Assist on turnover meetings to operations team upon award of a project.</li>\n <li>Assist in project pursuits and interviews as needed.</li>\n <li>Keeps Company management, project management, clients, general contractors, and all others involved in projects current on bid progress.</li>\n <li>Maintain relationships with clients and follow up regularly on bid proposals submitted and project leads.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>8+ years of electrical estimating experience for commercial and industrial projects.</li>\n <li>Accustomed to estimating for projects valued at $5 million and above.</li>\n <li>Advanced skills MS Office.</li>\n <li>Excellent time management and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Experience utilizing Accubid and Accubid LiveCount is preferred.</li>\n <li>Prior experience estimating multi-million electrical projects in the industrial/commercial industry.</li>\n <li>Design/build experience required.</li>\n <li>Must be accurate, possess attention to detail and be proactive in pointing out potential issues.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li>\n <li>This is largely a sedentary role; however, this role may require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand to complete other administrative functions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Working Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary Range</h2>USD $135,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.\n<h2>PTO Amount</h2>80\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>Bergelectric is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k retirement plan with employer matching.</p>\n<h2>EEO Statement</h2>\n<p><em>The information contained in the job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is not an exhaustive list of duties performed by this position.
