Provides a supportive learning environment for students. Salary Range: New hires will be set at $21.787 per hour. The salary range for internal candidates is $21.787 to $26.123 per hou r. For detailed compensation information, view the Para Salary Schedule . The salary listed reflects the 2025–2026 school year. Salaries for the 2026–2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1. If any updates or adjustments are made once the new salary schedule is finalized, all impacted individuals will receive the updated salary. In addition to competitive compensation, DPS has other Total Reward offerings such as; time off , health and wellness benefits - English Version or Health and Wellness Benefits - Spanish Version , and PERA Retirement . What You'll Do: Performs classroom duties as assigned, including but not limited to preparing instructional materials, assisting with student instruction, student care and discipline, and keeping the classroom clean and well-organized. Assists with field trips, parent meetings (including child care), and other classroom activities. Plans and evaluates program and student needs with the teacher daily and addresses specific student needs as identified by the teacher. Communicates with teachers and administrators about performance and disciplinary issues. Communicates with parents about routine issues as directed. Attends and participates in all required pre-service training programs and staff development meetings. Maintains the confidentiality of student information. Follows established District policies and procedures. Complies with program rules and regulations including State of Colorado licensing requirements for Child Care Centers. For ECE Para's Only: Copy of your high school diploma or GED AND must successfully complete ECE 101 within a designated period of time which will be determined after hire.
