Compensation: Draw / Uncapped Commission Summary: The Used Car Salesperson is responsible for driving vehicle sales by delivering a consultative, customer-first buying experience. This role plays a direct impact on dealership revenue by generating new business, closing profitable deals, and building long-term customer relationships that support repeat and referral sales. Duties and Responsibilities: Proactively generate sales opportunities through personal outreach, referrals, social media engagement, internet leads, and walk-in traffic. Greet customers professionally, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate used vehicle options. Conduct engaging test drives that demonstrate vehicle features, performance, and overall value. Maintain current knowledge of used inventory, pricing, incentives, and market conditions. Guide customers through the full sales process including vehicle selection, trade evaluations, and introductory financing discussions. Partner with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) team to finalize deals and ensure a smooth closing process. Negotiate and close deals while maximizing gross profit and delivering a transparent customer experience. Follow up post-sale to ensure satisfaction, generate referrals, and drive repeat business. Requirements: Minimum of 2+ years of automotive sales experience in a dealership environment (required). Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Must be authorized to work in the USA. Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements, including background check, drug test, and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Preferred Qualifications: Experience selling used vehicles in a dealership setting. General Motors (GM) brand experience. Experience working in a high-volume dealership environment.
