    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Purpose of this Position:</strong></p>\n<p><span>This position aims to ensure optimal performance, safety and longevity of heavy duty vehicles and equipment, through expert maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.</span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems</li>\n <li>Performing preventative maintenance, and conducting repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and standards</li>\n <li>Minimizing equipment downtime, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting the overall productivity and safety of the work environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br><strong>&nbsp;General Accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Our Principles.</li>\n <li>Establish effective leadership and participation in the HSEMS through demonstration and display of safety behaviours.</li>\n <li>Actively communicate the HSEMS requirements with shift managers, foreman, contractors, and workers.</li>\n <li>Participate in the review and development of materials and documentations in the HSEMS.</li>\n <li>Work in accordance with the Security Management System, including the immediate reporting of any suspicious activities to senior management and/or the Security Officer.</li>\n <li>Understand the consequences related to inappropriate conduct or behaviour or disregard for safety and security programs, policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Ensure workers under your direction are properly trained and educated to perform their duties.</li>\n <li>Ensure that operations comply with both the law and the HSEMS.</li>\n <li>Conduct regular inspections of the workplace and correct unsafe conditions and behaviours.</li>\n <li>Ensure that personnel under your direction have a clear understanding of the discipline policy for dealing with consequences of inappropriate conduct or behaviour.</li>\n <li>Ensure that the highest levels of safety are applied in all activities.</li>\n <li>Understand and adhere to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties as assigned.<br>\n   &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Capabilities, Job Function, Technical Knowledge and Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must hold a valid Red Seal HDM certification</li>\n <li>Able to identify possible safety hazards that may be encountered on the job site and describe corrective actions required</li>\n <li>Capable of working at heights</li>\n <li>Good troubleshooting skills and ability to read and interpret schematics and manuals</li>\n <li>Good knowledge of the electrical components of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Valves, and actuators, and other mechanical equipment&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Good knowledge of&nbsp;Diesel Engines, Transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Valves, and actuators</li>\n <li>Good understanding of Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance system including detailed reporting</li>\n <li>Good communication skills</li>\n <li>Willing to be Trained in the operation and maintenance of Quay Cranes, Rubber Tire Gantry, Aerial Lifts, Forklifts, Tractors, and other mobile equipment&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Able to lift, carry, move, and transport up to 50 lbs</li>\n <li>Able to ride compact elevators as necessary</li>\n <li>Able to provide detailed reports on completed tasks</li>\n <li>Able to perform other duties as assigned</li>\n <li>Fluent in English</li>\n <li>Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>No phone calls or agencies please.&nbsp;DP World(location) is an equal opportunity employer.
