Our Company vigorously pursues opportunities to recruit and develop job candidates who have the desire and potential for becoming qualified employees through our Affirmative Action Plan.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>M&J is seeking Construction Inspectors to perform daily field inspections on <strong>Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA)</strong> highway and bridge projects, ensuring work meets plans/specs, quantities and materials are verified, and traffic control and jobsite safety are maintained.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>· Perform daily inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.</p>\n<p>· Monitor contractor operations including earthwork, drainage, paving, structures, traffic control devices, and utilities.</p>\n<p>· Prepare Daily Work Reports documenting contractor activities and installed quantities.</p>\n<p>· Verify materials used on the project meet required specifications.</p>\n<p>· Coordinate with materials testing personnel and verify test results.</p>\n<p>· Monitor maintenance of traffic operations and jobsite safety.</p>\n<p>· Report construction issues to the Senior Inspector or Resident Engineer.</p>\n<p>· Maintain accurate field documentation for project records.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required</p>\n<p>· Minimum 3–7 years of experience in highway or bridge construction inspection.</p>\n<p>· NICET Level I or II certification in Transportation Construction Inspection or Construction Materials Testing.</p>\n<p>· ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I certification.</p>\n<p>Preferred</p>\n<p>· Nuclear Density Gauge Safety Certification.</p>\n<p>· ATSSA Traffic Control Technician (TCT) certification.</p>\n<p>· Mid-Atlantic transportation construction inspection certification (MATCI or equivalent).</p>\n<p>· Experience with materials testing and field density testing.</p>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>M&J is a leader in providing quality engineering consulting services to a diverse and exciting client base.
