    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring a Production Scheduler I at 10750 Telge Road Houston, TX 77095.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Production Scheduler II is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules for manufacturing equipment to ensure on-time delivery and efficient workflow. This role works cross-functionally with procurement, production, and support teams to manage materials, resolve constraints, and maintain accurate scheduling data, operating with a higher level of independence and decision-making than entry-level roles.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop, issue, and manage production schedules and material plans</li>\n <li>Coordinate with procurement to ensure supplier deliveries meet production timelines</li>\n <li>Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or changes</li>\n <li>Communicate risks and implement mitigation plans to maintain on-time delivery</li>\n <li>Collaborate with production teams to validate schedules and resolve workflow issues</li>\n <li>Track materials, open requirements, and job progress to support successful project completion</li>\n <li>Provide reporting and scheduling direction to staging and parts coordination teams</li>\n <li>Support job closeout activities, including validation of labor, materials, and purchase orders</li>\n <li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization</li>\n <li>Assist with inventory decisions, parts returns, and MRB processes</li>\n <li>Promote and maintain a strong safety culture</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, or related degree a plus.</li>\n <li>Minimum 1 (one) year experience as a Scheduler 1 and/or 2-5 years with the company.</li>\n <li>Capability to navigate Oracle and BOE systems with little supervision.</li>\n <li>Experience with Microsoft Office required (Excel, Word).</li>\n <li>Capability of utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
