    "description": "<h2>Job Description & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>We're looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with extensive experience developing software (C/C++) in a Linux environment.  You will be responsible for working with a team of engineers in the development and implementation of a wide range of low-level embedded software, hardware development and the development of application software running on the Wave Relay® network.  This position provides the opportunity to develop technology that enables our customers to solve their most difficult networking problems. </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Developing and implementing a wide range of low-level embedded software (including device driver, Linux kernel modules, network stack development, porting existing software to new embedded platforms, and other low-level programming activities), hardware development, as well as the development of application software running on the Wave Relay® network </li>\n <li>Use C/C++ to architect, develop, and implement backend API services</li>\n <li>Use Java to develop standalone web applications and android apps</li>\n <li>Supporting in-house and in-the-field engineering activities including travel to customer sites </li>\n <li>Traveling to test locations, military facilities, and customer sites to directly supporting the testing, evaluation, and deployment of the Wave Relay® system </li>\n <li>Integrating other systems, sensors, and components with the Wave Relay® system </li>\n <li>Writing technical proposals </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Qualifications & Experience </h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent </li>\n <li>1+ year of experience with programming  in C/C++ </li>\n <li>1+ year of experience with programming in Java</li>\n <li>Experience developing software for Linux systems </li>\n <li>Experience with Linux driver (e.g. wireless, network stack), Linux kernel, and kernel module development </li>\n <li>Must have the ability to obtain a United States security clearance </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering </li>\n <li>Spring Boot experience</li>\n <li>Experience with shell scripting, network application development, distributed systems, and network protocol development </li>\n <li>United States security clearance </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Total compensation for this role can vary from $128,000 to $160,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
