This environment is complemented by our comprehensive benefit offerings that include health insurance and a 403(b) retirement program.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Job description:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advises and counsels students regarding academic, educational, and short-term social and emotional problems.<br></li>\n<li>Provides individual student planning IGP (Individual Graduation Plans) in coordination with GREEN Upstate High School</li>\n<li>Teaches guidance classes and provides guidance counseling to students through planned activities in small group or classroom settings to convey educational, social, and important school information, and offers workshops/seminars for parents.</li>\n<li>Consults with parents, teachers, administrators, and pertinent agents on specific student and parent academic and educational matters including academic modifications and/or accommodations.<br></li>\n<li>Provides feedback and recommends appropriate action and solutions to individual student’s academic and educational needs and abilities.</li>\n<li>Participates on a Student Success Team, identifies students who may need targeted or intensive services, and coordinates with behavioral health specialists.</li>\n<li>Assists students/parents with references to outside agencies as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>QUALIFICATIONS</span><span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Required minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Valid SC counselor certification or possess the combined education and skills/experience to be considered highly qualified</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Job Type: Full-time, Contract</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Dental insurance</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Health insurance</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Paid time off</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Retirement plan</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Vision insurance</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span>Schedule:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Based upon the approved 2026-2027 academic calendar</span></li>\n</ul>",
