Come join an enthusiastic team who loves serving the Lord while building His Kingdom!</strong></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>As an education professional, you will help shape future Christian leaders who will advance God&rsquo;s church, community, and His Kingdom on earth. This position implements a Classical Christian curriculum that involves a love for ancient wisdom, instilling virtue, connecting Christ to every subject, and developing world class rhetorical skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with their team and director to create a vibrant classical school culture in the classroom, in assemblies, and in chapels.</p><p><strong>ESE Teacher &ndash; 10-month position</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Evidence of strong Christian testimony and values and acknowledgement of and commitment to the school&rsquo;s Statement of Faith and Staff Leadership Covenant.&nbsp;</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in area of expertise and ESE certified. &nbsp;</li><li>Successful completion of the Florida Teacher Certification Exam (FTCE) or agency accreditation.</li><li>Evidence of ability to interact collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and administration.</li><li>Evidence of excellent oral and written skills.</li><li>Passing of drug test and Level 2 background check.</li><li>This position requires a level 2 background check through the Clearinghouse. https://info.flclearinghouse.com</li></ul><p><strong>Skills</strong></p><ul><li>The ability to remain organized in times of high activity.</li><li>A capacity for creativity in tailoring a lesson plan to a student&rsquo;s specific needs.</li><li>An ability to be accepting of a student&rsquo;s limitations and weaknesses.</li><li>Ability to identify students who may require diagnostic testing.</li><li>Willingness to regularly communicate with parents and colleagues.</li><li>Classroom leadership.</li><li>Organized.</li><li>Critical thinking skills.</li><li>Flexible.</li><li>Teamwork.</li><li>Able to get up and down from the floor or small chairs multiple times a day.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible to the School Administration.</li><li>Maintain individualized education programs for students.</li><li>Plan, organize, and assign activities that are specific to each student&rsquo;s abilities.</li><li>Adjust education plans throughout the school year.</li><li>Plan effective lessons consistent with state and PBCA&rsquo;s curriculum framework(s).</li><li>Identify lesson objectives appropriate for the level of achievement of individual students, based on curriculum goals and selects appropriate materials.</li><li>Identify effective procedures to assess attainment of lesson objectives.</li><li>Understand and demonstrate knowledge of Exceptional Student Education.</li><li>Observe confidentiality relating to students, teachers, and school.</li><li>Communicate effectively with students and parents to increase student achievement.</li><li>Use instructional time efficiently, while employing the principles of continued quality improvement in an instructional setting with students.</li><li>Establish and maintain standards for acceptance for acceptable student behavior.</li><li>Present subject matter effectively, using technology where appropriate and available, while using appropriate skills and strategies that promote the creative/critical thinking capabilities of students.</li><li>Provide specialized instructional techniques and media through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of the students.</li><li>Collect student performance data for progress monitoring and reports student progress towards Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.</li><li>Participate in IEP meetings with parents and appropriate school and agency personnel.</li><li>Participate in eligibility determination meetings.</li><li>Participate in Professional Development activities relating to performing job responsibilities.</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and implement all requirements.</li><li>Provide transition planning for students with disabilities, as required.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
