    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span>Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Laboratory Assistant to join our team!&nbsp; Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span><strong><u>Position Summary:&nbsp;</u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">The Laboratory Assistant will provide a wide range of laboratory services including specimen collection, client service and reception desk duties, ordering/ scheduling/ billing functions, laboratory testing, phlebotomy, dispatching, specimen processing, centrifuging, delivery of specimens to appropriate laboratory/department and assuring proper efficiency and workflow management. Position will also serve as a resource for questions from hospital and clinic staff regarding specimen handling and processing.</span></p><p><span><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">Strong customer service skills.</span></li><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">Ability to work independently.</span></li><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">Good problem-solving skills.</span></li><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.</span></li><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to meet time-sensitive customer requests and changes on short notice.</span></li><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">If travel is required for the position, team member must have a valid driver’s license and meet the insurability requirements relating to Park Nicollet’s motor vehicle violation criteria.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">High school graduate or equivalent.</span></li><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">Experience in a medical related field or an applied science degree.</span></li><li><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">Certification in phlebotomy and one year hospital experience.
