          "text": "<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a <strong>subject matter expert (SME)</strong> on cancer registry data standards, abstraction workflows, and reporting requirements.</li><li>Provide <strong>structured walkthroughs</strong> of the registry lifecycle — from casefinding, abstraction, coding, QA, to submission and feedback.</li><li>Advise on the interpretation of <strong>data dictionaries, staging schemas, and coding logic</strong> used across U.S. registries.</li><li>Help our team understand <strong>the daily workflow of registrars</strong>, including interaction with EHRs, pathology feeds, and state/federal reporting systems.</li><li>Review data models, variable mappings, and potential automation use cases for consistency with registry standards.</li><li>Participate in periodic review meetings (remote) to guide technical and product teams on oncology data conventions.</li><li>Provide occasional feedback on UI/UX mockups, training materials, or registry-related data capture prototypes.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)</strong> credential in good standing (required).</li><li><strong>5–10+ years</strong> of hands-on experience in <strong>cancer registry operations</strong>, ideally including both <strong>facility-based</strong> and <strong>central registry</strong> settings.</li><li>Deep familiarity with:<ul><li>Cancer case abstraction, staging, and coding conventions.</li><li>Data validation and QA workflows.</li><li>NAACCR-style data items.</li><li>Common registry abstraction and validation tools used in the field.</li><li>Reporting workflows to state or national programs (e.g., population-based or accreditation-related systems).</li></ul></li><li>Understanding of AJCC, TNM, ICD-O, SSDI, and associated coding frameworks.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex registry processes for interdisciplinary teams.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Screening Questions</strong></p><p>Please include detailed answers to the following when applying:</p><ol><li><strong>Experience Summary:</strong><br>\nDescribe your current or most recent role as a cancer registrar.
