Description
SUMMARY
Creates and maintains reservation records and promptly processes any cancellations and modifications .
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knows the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout. Knows the selling status , rates, and benefits of all packages plans . Knows the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation. Determines room rates based on the various hotel offers and player’s level. Communicates reservation information to the front desk . Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk. Understands the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows . Tracks future room availabilities on the basis of reservations. Complies with all reasonable requests made by management. Other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Guest Services Manager then to the Director of Resort Operations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. Must exhibit a friendly and outgoing disposition at all times. The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations. Must be able to operate office equipment and multi-line phones. The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner. You will need to be available to work all shifts. You must be at least 17 years old. You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License. EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and bright lights.
