We are looking for a senior risk professional to support our business and drive a robust risk culture within the UK Savings business.</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span><strong>Strategic Risk Oversight:</strong>&nbsp;Report to the Head of UK Business Controls to support the Business Risk and Controls team, ensuring a robust business risk management framework that incorporates Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), control assurance, business resilience, business continuity, and incident management.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Policy Compliance:</strong>&nbsp;Ensure strict adherence to established policies, procedures, and authority levels across multiple cross-functional teams and processes.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Regulatory &amp; Operational Strategy:</strong>&nbsp;Develop and execute strategies to manage Regulatory and Operational Risk, collaborating with 2nd and 3rd line teams to identify risks and manage issues in alignment with firm-wide policies.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Operational Resilience:</strong>&nbsp;Lead adherence to firmwide polies and standards on Operational resilience including Business continuity and Important Business Service obligations and activities</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Event Management and remediation:</strong>&nbsp;Support ongoing adherence to issues and events management policies and standards. Working with the business to ensure timely reporting, logging and escalation of operational events and issues.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Risk Assessment:</strong>&nbsp;Complete ongoing risk assessments, analysing existing, new, and emerging risks to estimate their impact on the team and the wider business.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Global Collaboration:</strong>&nbsp;Partner with global Risk teams to ensure alignment in approach, leverage best practices.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Reporting &amp; Dashboards:</strong>&nbsp;Deliver monthly Risk and Compliance dashboards and control testing reports to senior management.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Risk and Controls Frameworks:</strong> Strong knowledge in maintaining enterprise process inventories and operationalizing the firm’s risk and control framework to ensure end</span><span>‑</span><span>to</span><span>‑</span><span>end governance, traceability, and control effectiveness</span><span>.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span>REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span><strong>Product Expertise:</strong>&nbsp;In-depth product and regulatory knowledge across Banking and Savings within a retail banking environment.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>1LoD Experience:</strong>&nbsp;Proven experience in risk management, specifically operating within the First Line of Defense.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Analytical &amp; Technical Acumen:</strong>&nbsp;Excellent business analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail. Ability to understand complex digital business architecture and leverage technology for risk solutions.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Communication &amp; Influence:</strong>&nbsp;Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
