    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The Mechanical Designer will provide mechanical/HVAC design services on a variety of commercial building projects. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Mechanical technical drafting and design on assigned projects</li><li>Assist in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings and for renovations and additions to existing facilities</li><li>Perform quality control process relative to project responsibilities on assigned projects</li><li>Perform initial site investigations and observations of work done by the installing contractor(s) related to contracted projects</li><li>Provide coordination of project designs with other disciplines</li><li>Maintain assigned project schedules</li><li>Develop and maintain positive client relationships</li><li>Additional duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>COMPETENCIES</strong></p><ul><li>Analytical thinking &ndash; analyzing and synthesizing complex situations and information to understand issues, identify options and support sound decision making</li><li>Attention to detail &ndash; working in a conscientious, consistent and thorough manner</li><li>Client focus &ndash; provides added value through service excellence to internal and external clients</li><li>Continuous learning &ndash; identifying and addressing learning and developmental need to enhance own performance</li><li>Job ownership &ndash; making decisions involving various levels of risk and ambiguity</li><li>Results management &ndash; organizes time, work and resources to accomplish objectives in the most effect and efficient way</li><li>Teamwork &ndash; working collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals</li></ul><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p><p>Knowledgeable in:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ductwork layouts, wiring diagrams, equipment schedules</li><li>Related building and mechanical codes</li><li>Sustainable design practices</li><li>Developing construction documents using Revit</li></ul><p>&nbsp;Skilled in:</p><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication</li><li>Excellent time management</li></ul><p>&nbsp;Ability to:</p><ul><li>Work with customers and client base</li><li>Work in a team-based environment</li><li>Meet deadlines, successful completion of deliverables</li><li>Communicate and work well with other departments</li><li>Work under pressure</li><li>Think analytically and thoroughly, while being resourceful and detail-oriented</li><li>Focus on team and customer service</li><li>Be continuously self-motivated, hardworking, flexible</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)</li><li>Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit</li><li>Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in mechanical design</li><li>Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Four+ (4+) years of experience in HVAC/plumbing design in the MEP field</li><li>Advanced proficiency in the use of Revit, AutoCAD and Design Master</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work indoors in an office setting. &nbsp;Must be capable of occasionally climbing ladders and of traversing obstacles. &nbsp;Regularly required to type, file, or lift office supplies up to 20 pounds.
