          "text": "<p>RESPEC seeks an experienced <strong>Senior Mechanical Engineer Project Manager </strong>to support our energy, wastewater, mining, and industrial projects.</p><p>The Senior Mechanical Engineer Project Manager leads the planning, design, and execution of complex mechanical engineering projects from proposal through final design, construction, and closeout. This role applies advanced engineering judgment to develop innovative, practical solutions while ensuring technical excellence, quality control, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. The position is responsible for defining project scope, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans; coordinating multidisciplinary teams; and providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering staff. In addition to overseeing design and construction activities, this role serves as a key client interface, supports business development and proposal efforts, and contributes to RESPEC's growth through technical expertise, collaboration, and strategic problem‑solving. Primary responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on complex projects</li><li>Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of project work</li><li>Complete projects from proposal to final design, including delegating work tasks to engineering and drafting staff</li><li>Make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications</li><li>Provide final technical review and quality control of team work product</li><li>Develop project scope, budget, timeline and staff utilization in proposal preparation, particularly with respect to technical efforts</li><li>Perform calculations using engineering formulas and skills</li><li>Independently complete design work using computer-aided or manual drafting techniques or be able to delegate such work to staff engineers and designers</li><li>Prepare reports and correspondence concerning the direction of assigned projects</li><li>Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to junior level project team members</li><li>Devise new approaches to problems encountered</li><li>Participate in marketing, sales, and business development efforts</li><li>Perform sites assessments and construction oversight</li></ul><p><strong>We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters</strong></p>",
