We welcome candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our academic community.</p>\n<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>APP Nocturnist provides medical evaluation, management and appropriate follow-up to patients in Level 2 specialty areas.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Initiates patient care plans, including medical and pharmacological management as needed.</li>\n <li>Stay up to date or may participate in research and incorporate its findings into practice.</li>\n <li>Actively participates in continuous quality improvement projects including but not limited to lab and radiology call backs.</li>\n <li>Maintains a high level of customer service with patients, staff, administrators and physicians.</li>\n <li>Provides and/or serves as resource for patient/family and staff education.</li>\n <li>Participate in continuing education for specialty area.</li>\n <li>Stays up to date with divisional policies, guidelines and medical staff and hospital policies and rules and regulations.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as required by supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant and appropriate licensure (PA or APRN) required.</li>\n <li>Experience in specialty area is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitionerprogram or Physician Assistant program.</li>\n <li>Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).</li>\n <li>Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.</li>\n <li>ACLS is not required for Psych at Grady APP roles. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
