    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p>Submit your information for future Heavy Equipment Technician opportunities, both internships and full-time, at our Illinois locations.&nbsp;</p><p>West Side Tractor Sales<br>Service Technician<br>Service Department<br>Reports To: Service Manager<br><br><br>Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer owned equipment.<br><br><br>Job Duties:<br><br><br>- Diagnosis, recondition and repair of equipment and components<br>- Participates in training programs for the development of skills and knowledge<br>- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products<br>- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment<br>- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion<br>- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments<br>- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments<br>- Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties<br>- Participates in West Side&rsquo;s Safety Program<br>- Completes training assigned by manager<br>- Other duties as assigned<br><br><br>Experience, Education, Skills &amp; Knowledge:<br><br><br>- Technical school certificate or equivalent work experience<br>- Previous heavy equipment technician experience preferred<br>- Strong mechanical skills; Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions<br>- Strong diagnostic skills<br>- Able to work with minimal supervision<br>- Ability to work as a team member<br>- Computer skills in data entry, basic navigation and Internet<br>- Valid driver&rsquo;s license and acceptable driving record based upon company policy<br><br><br>Physical Requirements of this position:<br><br><br>- Ability to lift, manipulate, and move items weighing upwards of 50 lbs. repeatedly<br>- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, kneel and squat as required by assigned task<br>- Noise level is generally loud<br>- Exposure to dust, fumes, gases and chemicals<br>- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts<br>- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination</p></div></div></div>\n",
