The primary responsibility of this position is to safely load material from stockpiles and maintain the plant/yard appropriately. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Safely operate the site Loader in moving materials, and ensuring materials are properly stored. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure all irrigation systems are operable & appropriately hydrating the various aggregates. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure plant/yard housekeeping is appropriate to include shoveling, sweeping, and washing down the yard frequently. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure all appropriate EPA guidelines are followed and yard up to appropriate regulatory standards.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist Plant Supervisor with monthly inventory. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>With direction from Plant Supervisor, coordinate the traffic flow of the yard. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure haulers are placing materials in appropriate areas.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure haulers are rendering tickets in the batch house. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist maintenance team with plant repairs.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to travel within delivery area to other plant locations. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure plant bins are fully loaded with appropriate materials during batching hours of operation. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Properly maintain the loader, i.e., grease all fittings, keep fuel level full, perform daily mechanical inspections, report issues. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to perform other duties as required. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills.</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid CDL license  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Good written and oral communication skills </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Construction industry experience required.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work night shifts, overtime, and weekends. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic understanding of windows-based operations / computer skills.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have demonstrated the ability to perform with minimal supervision.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic understanding of concrete characteristics and production.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have demonstrated safe operation of Mixer Truck and Loader.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of proper material handling practices.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous experience in ready-mix industry is preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have demonstrated the ability to be coachable by Plant Supervisor and Area Supervisor. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have ability to further progress to Batch Operator. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be physically capable of performing strenuous manual labor including: bending, lifting, climbing at heights of 60-80 feet, walking on catwalks, stretching, driving/steering, sitting, twisting, vibration, and riding & walking on rough terrain.   Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be English proficient, both oral and written. </li>\n <li> </li>\n <li><p><strong>Next level skills:</strong> </p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>The loader position should be a back-up to the plant Batch Operator.
