    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div id=\"isPasted\"><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Horizon Health&nbsp;</strong>is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL &amp; a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. We have been serving residents of Edgar County since 1968 though community education, emergency services, and outpatient care. As we continue to expand our services &amp; locations, our community has grown far beyond Paris. Our rich history and strong community support pave the way for the future of healthcare as we serve you&mdash;our family, friends, and neighbors.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Pre-operative/Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU) administers diligent care to outpatients &amp; inpatients via monitoring, assessment, intervention and continuous reassessment both on admission prior to surgery and phase I and II of discharge to home or transfer to an inpatient unit. Post-operative care includes the care of patients who are recovering form anesthesia, including general, regional, and local.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assesses patients prior to surgery.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensures that Informed Operative and other essential consents are signed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Takes and records vital statistics of patients and verifies that lab work and other ordered testing is reported to ensure patient readiness for surgery.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide patient and family pre-operative education.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow all surgeon and anesthesia orders, which include starting an intravenous line.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Records all assessment data in electronic medical record.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Completes face-to-face reports with Operating Room Personnel both preoperatively and postoperatively.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Communicates effectively with Surgeons and Anesthesia providers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assists Anesthesia with Peripheral Nerve Blocks.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Understands and participates in all aspects of the Universal Protocol which prevents wrong site/side/person surgery.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Effectively organizes time, equipment and supplies as needed which includes monthly outdate checks of all carts or areas containing medications and/or supplies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrate excellent post-operative assessment of Phase I patients and critically think and react effectively in all types of postop emergencies.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><em>&nbsp;</em></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><em>The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive; other activities may be required in support of the hospital&rsquo;s goals and objectives.</em></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Graduate from an associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or diploma school of nursing.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">BLS on hire</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Previous Ambulatory Surgery, Recovery Room or Intensive Care experience desired</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Pay Range:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Pay ranges from $27.473/hour to $43.997/hour (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Hours: 32hours per week, with varying days Monday- Friday 730a-330p</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Horizon Health</strong> is committed to caring not only for our patients, but for our staff as well.
