This senior role offers a rare opportunity to design and launch interdisciplinary research and innovation programs from inception at a new veterinary school built to integrate discovery, education, and real-world impact.</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">The Associate Dean will be appointed at the rank of Full Professor and will work closely with the Dean, faculty, students, and external partners to shape a distinctive research and innovation ecosystem that advances animal, human, and environmental health.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Lead the development and execution of the School’s research, innovation, and entrepreneurship strategy</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Define and advance focused, mission-aligned research and translational priority areas</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Serve as the School’s chief research and innovation officer and primary liaison to external partners</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Expand interdisciplinary collaborations across Lyon College, Arkansas, and national partners</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Identify and secure extramural funding from federal, state, foundation, and industry sources</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Establish mentoring and professional development programs supporting scholarship, funding success, and entrepreneurial activity</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Ensure meaningful student engagement in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Facilitate access to research, innovation, and entrepreneurial infrastructure through partnerships</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"> </span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">Required:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">DVM (or equivalent) with a PhD and/or ABVS board certification</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Academic record consistent with appointment at the rank of Full Professor</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Senior leadership experience in academia, healthcare, or a comparably complex organization</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"> </span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">Preferred Experience and Attributes:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Demonstrated excellence in funded research, high-impact scholarship, and collaborative science and/or innovation and entrepreneurship</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and align resources to achieve strategic goals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Commitment to faculty and student mentorship and success</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Strong communication and relationship-building skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Record of inclusive leadership and engagement with diverse populations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Familiarity with innovation ecosystems, technology transfer, start-ups, or industry partnerships</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">This position will be based at the new Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine in Cabot, Arkansas.  The LCSVM is co-located with Cabot Animal Support Services (CASS). CASS is a local, state, and national model for shelter medicine, animal welfare, community relations, and education.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">As a private institution, Lyon College offers advantages of nimbleness in encouraging innovations.
