Burke Inc., headquartered in Taunton, MA, &nbsp;is always looking for great candidates. &nbsp;We are a family owned business, and one of New England&rsquo;s largest suppliers of diesel fuel, gasoline, and motor oil products. &nbsp;We take pride in being loyal to our customers, vendors and employees. &nbsp;We have an opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to work with our Fleet out of our Saco, ME location.</p><p><strong>Summary:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Under general supervision, maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining trucks. Responsible for keeping equipment available for use by inspecting and performing diagnostic testing of trucks. Complete preventative maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation, and tire changes, wheel balancing and replacing filters. Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to driver complaints, conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Primary duties and responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining trucks&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for keeping equipment available for use by inspecting and performing diagnostic testing of trucks&nbsp;</li><li>Completing preventative maintenance, such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, and tire changes, replacing filters&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to driver complaints, conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage&nbsp;</li><li>Installs repairs and maintains diesel truck engines. Examines trucks, repair, and overhaul, and adjust truck brake systems&nbsp;</li><li>Installs and repair air conditioners and service components&nbsp;</li><li>Performs diagnostic engine repair.
