Embody the organization’s values of integrity with transparency, engagement, stewardship, unity in diversity, and relationships and team. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provide quality instruction and supervision of students in a nurturing Christian atmosphere.    </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Regular attendance.</li>\n<li>Plan classroom program according to prescribed standards and content. \n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Develop long-range plans for the school year.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Ensure that Adventist standards are intentionally included in lesson plans.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Adapt daily plans to meet the needs of the students' instructional levels.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Infuse faith and learning into all lessons.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Design lessons with relevant content, skills and values.</span></li>\n</ol>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt\">Deliver differentiated instruction in engaging all students at all times and to ensure every child learns through techniques, structures, and strategies designed to meet each student's needs.</span><br>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt\">Techniques - effective steps designed to organize or manage the classroom environment creating an inclusive, supporting and caring classroom.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt\">Structures - planned processes designed to organize interaction of individuals to build a learning community.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt\">Strategies - researched-based methods of teaching that leads to successful learning. </span></li>\n</ol>\n</li>\n<li>Fulfill modified school administrative duties as outlined in the Pacific Union’s Education Code.</li>\n<li>Supervise children closely inside the classroom, during recess, in all activities, on field trips and after school activities. </li>\n<li>Communicate with parents in a timely manner in reporting student progress and school activities.</li>\n<li>Communicate openly and honestly with the director daily. </li>\n<li>Supervise proper handover of children, relevant information, and belongings to parents and/or next teacher. </li>\n<li>Participate in all emergency drills (earthquakes, fire, lockdown, etc.). </li>\n<li>Participate in cultural programs, sports activities, and ceremonies planned by the school. </li>\n<li>Demonstrate professional loyalty in observing school’s policies and regulations. </li>\n<li>Refrain from discussing confidential or sensitive information with unauthorized persons. </li>\n<li>Manifest high regard for the teaching profession in grooming, demeanor, and use of social media in all its forms. </li>\n<li>Represent the Seventh-day Adventist Church in a positive manner. </li>\n<li>Evidence of physical and emotional health required for working with children. </li>\n<li>Participate in continual and professional development programs and activities. </li>\n<li>Comply with policies and procedures of the Conference, including but not limited to those in the employee handbook, and the North American Division Working Policy. </li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To perform this job, the individual </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily, and   </li>\n<li>Be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing, and </li>\n<li>Documented proof to work legally in the USA</li>\n<li>Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including duties associated with working in a classroom environment with students.</li>\n<li>Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Live Scan fingerprinting and background clearance.</li>\n<li>Meet the requirements listed below. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required and physical and mental demands.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">           Education and Experience</span></p>\n<p>         <span>Undergraduate degree in liberal studies/elementary education from a recognized college or university is required.
