Your Opportunity Stantec's GTA based team is currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Professional Senior Project Manager to join our team of project managers, technical staff, and multi-discipline specialists in the completion of class environmental assessments, preliminary and detail design of transportation infrastructure projects. You will lead a team of professionals in the planning, design and construction of large-scale municipal projects in our growing roads and transit-based sector. The projects will be in various phases from environmental assessments and conceptual planning, through design, construction, and occupancy. Your Key Responsibilities Manage multiple projects as a PM for Environmental Assessments and Detailed Design Projects. Managing the approved scope, budget and schedule are of utmost importance. Lead the Design Team consisting of the Engineers, Scientists, Planners, Coordinators, Schedulers, and other consultants. Create innovative ideas and approaches to re-evaluate and improve our business. Promoting and overseeing our safety program and overall safety culture. Day-to-day project oversight and communication with the client and project team. Develop, track, update, forecast and modify the project schedule and budget throughout all phases of the project. Review and track all contracts, invoices, and payments to all contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors. Leadership and oversite of our safety program, quality reviews, plan reviews and inspections. Understand and assist in the negotiation of contracts of all parties to the project. Oversee approval of all invoices and change orders associated with the project. Evaluate, advise on and assist in resolving disputes and claims. Regular collaboration with colleagues in our multi-disciplined design office Financial management of projects and resource allocation Business development support and leading proposal development. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Project Management Professional Designation PMP is an asset. Excellent communication and Leadership skills (verbal and written) as well as good relationship building skills with respect to your interactions with team members, clients, and contractors Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines while work independently A strong work ethic with the desire to excel, inspire and to achieve Willingness to learn and a motivated team player Education and Experience Ideally 15+ years of experience in Transportation Engineering, Environmental Assessment Process and Approvals, Conceptual Design. Engineering, Technical Advisory Related Work or Construction Management. BaSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.    Must be registered Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario PEO.  This is a flexible role, both in the working environment and as a key part of our team, building on-going partnerships with our clients, innovative planning for the future of our business, growing together with our leaders and our partners in this new dynamic working environment.
