Trainees will work under the supervision of experienced technicians and department leads while developing technical, customer service, and communication skills. This position is a launchpad into a high-demand field and is ideal for someone eager to work with their hands, solve problems, and grow a meaningful career.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports To</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drain Services Manager</li>\n<li>Field Supervisor (as assigned during training rotation)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">clearing, cleaning, and diagnosing residential sewer drain lines, </span>as well as sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, and floor drains.</li>\n<li>Support and eventually operate drain cleaning equipment including <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">hand augers, medium machines, jetters, and cameras</span> (under supervision).</li>\n<li>Follow safety procedures at all times, including <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">proper PPE use</span> and equipment handling.</li>\n<li>Accurately complete <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">forms, job notes, and customer-facing documentation</span> using Service Titan and other software platforms.</li>\n<li>Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization (assigned vehicle or team vehicle).</li>\n<li>Attend and participate in all assigned <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">trainings, meetings, and performance reviews</span>.</li>\n<li>Follow and internalize the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nexstar Service System</span>, focusing on the steps of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Prepare, Greet, Evaluate, Present, Execute, and Wrap Up.</span></li>\n<li>Maintain <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">clear communication</span> with dispatch, leadership, and team members.</li>\n<li>Uphold Drain Masters' <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">core values</span> in all interactions—with customers, teammates, and the public.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training &amp; Performance Tracking</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in a structured <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">90-day training program</span> including hands-on field training, classroom-style learning, and Nexstar/Service Titan onboarding.</li>\n<li>Training progress will be tracked through:\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of skill checklists</li>\n<li>Soft skill observation</li>\n<li>Customer satisfaction metrics (as applicable)</li>\n<li>Supervisor and mentor evaluations</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Eligible for <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">early graduation</span> from training program based on demonstrated competence, consistency, and professionalism.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technology &amp; Tools</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn and adopt all assigned <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">technology tools</span>, including:\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Service Titan</span> (dispatching, job records, estimates, documentation)</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nexstar Network tools and templates</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Sharepoint.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Maintain a willingness to learn and apply emerging technologies and best practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Customer Service &amp; Professionalism</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Represent Drain Masters with courtesy, respect, and professionalism on every job.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">empathy, clarity, and confidence</span> when communicating with customers.</li>\n<li>Dress and act in accordance with company standards at all times.</li>\n<li>Follow all communication guidelines and leave-behind materials as part of the service process.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Expectations:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Attendance</span></p>\n<p>Show up on time, in uniform, and ready to work every scheduled shift.
