You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages all stages of commissioning process, from initial planning and design reviews to final testing and handover</li>\n <li>Creates commissioning plans, schedules, test procedures (like IET and IPVT/IST), and verification checklists</li>\n <li>Ensures the facility and its systems comply with design specifications, health and safety standards, and performance requirements</li>\n <li>Acts as the main point of contact and manages communication between various teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors</li>\n <li>Prepares and manages all necessary documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and final certification documents</li>\n <li>Performs and oversees various tests, such as functional testing and site acceptance testing, to verify system performance</li>\n <li>Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks</li>\n <li>Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards</li>\n <li>Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members</li>\n <li>Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>KEY COMPETENCIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Leverage Business Insights</strong> – Understand and act on industry trends, local market and economic conditions and our business model to make decisions and create competitive advantage.</li>\n <li><strong>Deploy a Strategic Mindset</strong><em> - </em>Take a broad, global perspective when considering proactive solutions to long-term opportunities and risks that might develop in the future.</li>\n <li><strong>Display Emotional Intelligence</strong> - Demonstrate the capacity to recognize feelings and patterns of behavior and those of others. Plan for and support development of individual skills and abilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field</li>\n <li>10-12 years of data center commissioning experience</li>\n <li>Previous hyperscale field construction on data centers is required</li>\n <li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of data center systems, including power distribution, cooling, HVAC, and IT equipment</li>\n <li>Ability to manage schedules, budgets, change orders, and multidisciplinary teams</li>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels</li>\n <li>Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.</p>\n<p>The pay ranges from $130,000-$205,000 plus benefits and retirement program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
