    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW</strong>:</p><p>Safely operates a Class A CDL Truck to primarily deliver or pick up merchandise from donation centers, Goodwill stores/facilities, or businesses.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p><p>1. &nbsp;Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Immediately reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property to immediate supervisor and/or Asset Prevention.</p><p>2. Maintains records such as vehicle logs, daily truck inspection, and load details according to all State and Federal laws and company procedures.</p><p>3. Provides basic supervision for assigned truck helper, if applicable.</p><p>4. Reports any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.</p><p>5. Reports delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to immediate supervisor.</p><p>6. Loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers and trailers. Loads and unloads vehicles using available equipment such as a pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift. Forklift training and certification will be provided by Goodwill.&nbsp;</p><p>7. Operates jockey truck as assigned.&nbsp;</p><p>8. Provides 30-minute notice to site staff when in route to a destination.&nbsp;</p><p>9. Communicates with the manager on duty when arriving and leaving a site, completing documentation as required.&nbsp;</p><p>10. Maintains appropriate communication with Warehouse Leads and Transportation Manager.&nbsp;</p><p>11. Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections on their assigned vehicle daily. &nbsp;Inspecting truck equipment and supplies (such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water). Reports any concerns to transportation or warehouse management team member immediately.</p><p>12. Uses company provided phone and headset to communicate Goodwill business during operating hours.&nbsp;</p><p>13. Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit.</p><p>14. Use good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, respect, sensitivity, politeness and thoughtfulness when interacting with Goodwill staff and public.&nbsp;</p><p>15. Abides by all Goodwill&#39;s established policies and procedures.</p><p>16. Adhere to all safety procedures and wear all safety equipment that is required for the specific task.</p><p>17. Accomplishes retail and organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:</strong></p><p>* &nbsp;High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred with at least 6 months of Truck Driving experience required (one year preferred) or any job-related experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to be able to perform the essential functions of the position.</p><p>* Class A CDL to operate straight truck, jockey truck, and tractor-trailers.with driving record acceptable to Goodwill&rsquo;s insurance company&rsquo;s standards.</p><p>* Able to pass the DOT Drug Screen and DOT Physical.</p><p>* Forklift Certification (Equipment training and certification are provided).&nbsp;</p><p>* Must be able to read operating and safety instructions.&nbsp;</p><p>* Must have a flexible schedule (can work evenings and weekends when required).</p><p><br></p><p><br></p></div></div></div>\n",
