Description
About the Role:
The Pro Mechanical - Scaffold Builder Leadman plays a critical leadership role in the construction and maintenance of scaffolding systems. This position is responsible for overseeing scaffold building teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures at various project sites. The Leadman will coordinate daily operations, manage resources, and enforce safety protocols to meet project timelines and quality standards. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, safety officers, and other trades to support seamless workflow and risk mitigation. Ultimately, the Leadman ensures that all scaffolding activities contribute to a safe working environment and successful project completion.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in scaffold building. Proven leadership experience in supervising scaffold crews. Comprehensive knowledge of scaffold construction techniques, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and scaffold design plans. Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in scaffold building or related safety training (e.g., CISRS, SSP). Experience working in remote or industrial project sites. First aid and CPR certification. Familiarity with rigging and heavy equipment operations. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills. Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise scaffold building crews in the assembly, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems according to engineering specifications and safety regulations. Conduct daily briefings to communicate work plans, safety procedures, and project updates to team members. Inspect scaffolding structures regularly to ensure compliance with industry standards and identify any hazards or defects. Coordinate with project managers and other trades to schedule scaffold-related activities and optimize workflow. Maintain accurate records of materials used, work progress, and safety incidents. Train and mentor scaffold builders on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills. Ensure all scaffold construction activities comply with OSHA and company safety policies. Respond promptly to any safety concerns or emergencies related to scaffolding operations. Skills:
