Our staff is ready to go above and beyond to help you meet your needs, to get you back on the road, satisfied.</p>\n<p>The <strong><em>Junior</em> <em>Automotive Technician</em></strong> is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers and Boyd’s Tire standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>COMPENSATION: Pay ranges from $22 - $27 per hour depending on experience (hourly plus flag rate). </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Automotive Technician Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive Bi-Weekly Pay</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Paid Vacation and Sick Time</li>\n <li>6 Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance </li>\n <li>Life Insurance (Company paid)</li>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match</li>\n <li>Discounted Services on Personal and Immediate Family Vehicles</li>\n <li>Opportunity for Advancement!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.</li>\n <li>Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.</li>\n <li>Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.</li>\n <li>Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.</li>\n <li>Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.</li>\n <li>Possess valid driver’s license or obtain a valid driver’s license within 30 days of hire date.</li>\n <li>Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) screening and background check. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions and Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.
