You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>In this role, The<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)</span><span> </span>plays a vital role in supporting and developing Armstrong’s supply chain to achieve world-class performance. Responsible for auditing, verifying, and qualifying new and existing suppliers, the SQE ensures compliance with relevant industry and regulatory standards, while driving continuous improvement across supplier operations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Accountabilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supplier Qualification and Auditing</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and execute supplier audits (initial, process, and surveillance) to verify compliance with Armstrong’s quality, safety, and delivery requirements.</li>\n<li>Conduct detailed assessments based on ISO 9001, ISO 3834, and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).</li>\n<li>Qualify and onboard new suppliers through structured screening and capability assessments.</li>\n<li>Monitor supplier approvals, certifications, and performance against contractual and regulatory obligations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supplier Development and Performance Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify opportunities to improve supplier quality, delivery, and process capability.</li>\n<li>Drive and support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (8D), and performance recovery plans.</li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Production teams to align supplier capabilities with Armstrong’s product and manufacturing needs.</li>\n<li>Maintain and communicate supplier quality metrics, scorecards, and risk profiles.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Quality Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review supplier documentation including weld procedures, inspection reports, material certificates, and quality plans.</li>\n<li>Support the introduction and validation of new or modified components or subassemblies from suppliers.</li>\n<li>Participate in PPAP, FAIR, or equivalent product validation and approval processes.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with pressure vessel and safety regulations relevant to supplied components.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Continuous Improvement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote best practices in lean manufacturing, process control, defect reduction, and first-time-right culture among suppliers.</li>\n<li>Contribute to cross-functional quality and improvement projects related to cost reduction, risk mitigation, or product launch readiness.</li>\n<li>\n</li></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p>To thrive in this role, you should bring:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Quality Engineering or Management, or a related field.</li>\n<li>Significant experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer within a manufacturing, HVAC, or engineered products environment.</li>\n<li>Strong auditing skills with demonstrable knowledge of: ISO 9001, ISO 3834 (welding quality requirements), Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)</li>\n<li>Technical knowledge of fabrication, welding, CNC machining, assembly, and related quality inspection techniques.</li>\n<li>Full UK Drivers Licence</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.</li>\n<li>Willingness to travel to supplier sites in the UK and occasionally in Europe – approximately 60% travel requirement.</li>\n<li>Formal qualifications in Engineering, Metallurgy, or Manufacturing Technology.</li>\n<li>Certified Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor (e.g. IRCA certified).</li>\n<li>Knowledge of materials (e.g. carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, copper) and their processing in industrial products.</li>\n<li>Experience using APQP, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, or other structured quality tools.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?</span></p>\n<p>By joining us, you’ll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology.
