At TW Constructors, we build more than facilities, we build community support and success.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Role:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>The Safety Manager will provide support to the project staff and the TW Constructors safety team in an effort to execute corporate safety and health standards and procedures in compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. In addition to your project responsibilities, you shall participate in and complete all assignments designated to you. This will include, but is not limited to, assisting in development of a zero injury safety culture on each project, conducting at least weekly documented jobsite safety inspections, effectively communicate orientations for all new project workers, assist with and review subcontractor daily pre-task safety analysis, actively promote and participate in daily stretch and flex program, identify project trends and execute proactive safety initiatives to eliminate incidents, support corporate goals and initiatives, emphasize and support proactive safety such as near miss/hazard reporting, coach and recognize workers on safe work methods, report all incidents in an effective and timely manner following established protocols and be a champion in motivating workers to perform their jobs safely! Your responsibilities will be all encompassing for each project you will be dedicated to. Travel is a requirement of this position.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel is required with this position</span><br></li>\n<li>Conduct weekly documented jobsite safety inspections</li>\n<li>Develop and support a zero-injury safety culture on each project</li>\n<li>Direct orientations for all new project workers</li>\n<li>Assist with and review subcontractor daily pre-task safety analysis</li>\n<li>Identify project trends and execute proactive safety initiatives to eliminate incidents</li>\n<li>Report all incidents in an effective and timely manner</li>\n<li>Assist in development of the project safety program</li>\n<li>Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees. Administer and record their participation in the orientation program and issue identification to those employees completing the orientation program</li>\n<li>Attend all initial meetings with the project staff and subcontractor representatives to clearly define their role within the confines of the project safety program<br></li>\n<li>Manage other safety supervisors on the project</li>\n<li>Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with each subcontractor representatives to establish safety procedures prior to subcontractor’s activity on site.</li>\n<li>Establish and conduct regular (weekly) safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and with project staff to ensure proper compliance</li>\n<li>Facilitate training for site personnel and ensure that standards are compliant to OSHA/TW Constructors and also in compliance with Federal, State, and Local standards</li>\n<li>Ensure and maintain a log of each subcontractor toolbox safety meeting</li>\n<li>Review each subcontractor’s safety program and ensure that it meets or exceeds the project safety program requirements</li>\n<li>Ensure that each subcontractor designates a safety representative that is properly trained in subcontractor’s scope of work and has the proper authority to correct safety issues</li>\n<li>Conduct regular daily and weekly jobsite inspections and complete the safety checklist noting safety violations and corrective actions</li>\n<li>Record, notify and prepare written report of any violations or unsafe practices to subcontractors for immediate correction actions</li>\n<li><span>Stop at once any violation or unsafe acts or practices</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist the Project Superintendent in establishing and implementing proper fire prevention, evacuation, and fire control procedures</span></li>\n<li><span>Investigate all incidents and generate proper reports in a timely matter</span></li>\n<li><span>Establish and maintain all required safety records</span></li>\n<li><span>Conduct a monthly overview safety meeting and attend project staff meetings to brief on safety issues</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform other duties as necessary</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, </span><span>Environmental Health &amp; Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bilingual in Spanish is a plus</span></li>\n<li>Electrical and/or Lift Safety Experience Preferred</li>\n<li>General knowledge of construction principles and practices required</li>\n<li>5-10 years of safety experience or combination of education or multiple years of experience in building construction, with a working knowledge of safety principles and techniques</li>\n<li>Field and on-site experience is a plus</li>\n<li>OSHA 30 hour construction accreditation required</li>\n<li>OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus</li>\n<li>Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office</li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals</li>\n<li>Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work is a plus</li>\n<li>Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency</li>\n<li>Successful internships or safety engineering experience on projects is a plus</li>\n<li>Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment</li>\n<li>Very strong work ethic with the willingness to travel</li>\n<li>Capable to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding</li>\n<li>Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why People Choose TW Constructors</span></p>\n<p>TW Constructors is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and safe workplace where people feel connected, valued, and able to reach their full potential.
