We transform behavioral health systems through innovation, creativity and collaboration.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">JOB DESCRIPTION: </span>The registered nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing services and supporting medical providers in delivering quality health care to patients and to support the TNR mission. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Independently and consistently use the nursing process to safely, compassionately, and efficiently care for patients</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Utilize standard screening tools. Ex: CIWA COWS, PAWS, pain and suicidal screening tools. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Implement a plan of care and evaluate the clients progress toward attainment of the outcomes, working collaboratively with the clinical team. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Work closely with medical provider to assess and monitor patient needs </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Administer prescribed medications and other therapeutic interventions to include medication rounds across the True North behavioral health system of care.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Build and maintain a working relationship with community partner agencies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Maintain current training and continuing education to perform duties to the highest standards of care.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Documentation and billing in EHR as indicated and appropriate.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Maintain TNR culture.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 15px\">Successful graduation from ADN or BSN accredited nursing program</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 15px\">Current Alaska Registered Nurse License</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 15px\">CPR certified or willing to become certified through an accredited program</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 15px\">Experience working with patients who are suffering from addiction, depression, anxiety, and other mental health diagnosis </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 15px\">Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 15px\">Ability to climb stairs and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population and also the ability to remain professional with both patients and staff</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Knowledge of alcohol use disorder and substance use disorder and addiction medicine</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 15px\">Ability to interact with patients, families and others in an empathetic, respectful and friendly manner</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Ability to communicate proficiently both verbally and in writing. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Demonstrate the ability to respond to situations, crises and emergencies with critical thinking and good judgment </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Working knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and 42 CFR</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple responsibilities and tasks to completion</span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br></span></em></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">CORE COMPETENCIES: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Understanding of trauma informed care </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Understanding of addiction and recovery</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and initiative</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Demonstrate positive work ethic and organizational skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Exercise good judgment</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">BENEFITS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paid Time Off Accrual<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<p>This role is primarily performed in an office building with standard office environment and controlled temperatures.  When working outdoors or at a job site the employee may be exposed to construction equipment or other moving objects/equipment; reference job site specifics.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
