    "requisitionDescription": "<div>\n    <link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" />\n    <link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" />\n\n    <div class=\"fr-view\">\n      <p>&nbsp;Who We Are:</p><p>We are driven by a passion to design and manufacture the highest quality grid-scale power converters available. &nbsp;Rooted in this passion, we provide our customers with inverters and DC/DC converters from 250 kW to 6 MW. &nbsp;Everything we make is 100% developed by our engineering team. &nbsp;Today, power electronics are more than ever becoming the core technology within major growth sectors such as renewable energy, energy storage, and electric vehicles, etc..</p><p>What We Do:</p><p>EPC is located in the center of a high-tech commercial park in Poway, CA (San Diego County) to meet the demands of its rapidly growing customer base. &nbsp;The R&amp;D team is focused on developing robust and reliable power conversion solutions to real-world customer problems, and doing it in a smaller, more powerful footprint than anything else available today. &nbsp;We enjoy what we do, and we encourage a creative, healthy, and highly collaborative environment. &nbsp;Our goal is to work together as a fun, creative, and professional team; learning from and encouraging one-another as we push the state of the art forward in power electronics.</p><p>The Role:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Primary focus is on system-level design that involves viewing projects from a variety of technical perspectives</li><li>Support sales in providing technical support to new or potential customers</li><li>Review customer designs for energy storage and PV systems</li><li>Support customers with technical designs during project execution</li><li>Solve complex technical problems by working across various teams</li><li>Provide utility interface support</li><li>Maintain courteous, and knowledgeable communication with customers</li><li>Provides introductory and/or intermediate technical support training classes</li><li>Occasional travel as required</li><li>Publish and maintain internal and external technical documentation. This includes manuals, whitepapers, etc.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering</li><li>5 years experience in customer-facing engineering role</li><li>Experience with typical commercial and industrial electrical power (480Vac, 3p)</li><li>Experience with power inverters (e.g. energy storage, solar PV, etc.)</li><li>Experience with inverter diagnosis, troubleshooting, parameterization, etc.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and project management skills</li><li>Projects a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions</li><li>Proven ability to work well within a team and clearly communicate technical progress and challenges</li><li>Ability to move to the San Diego area within 2 months of employment</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Desired Skills</p><ul><li>Familiar with typical commercial and industrial cabinet wiring, documentation, wiring harnesses</li><li>Familiar with typical lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering stations, signal generators, DAQ</li><li>Experience using electrical modeling tools such as PSCAD/PSSE/ETAP etc.</li><li>Experience designing high power systems including power flow designs and fault analysis</li><li>Experience with battery energy storage systems</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>COVID-19 considerations:</p><p>In order to ensure the safest environment possible for all team members during the COVID-19 pandemic, team members are provided hand sanitizer, gloves, face masks, alternative work schedules and whenever possible isolated work areas.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>EPC Power is an equal opportunity employer.
