You will report to the Dean of Students and will work onsite.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong> &bull; Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and adults.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Work with students who demonstrate serious mental and emotional health issues and also exhibit antisocial and explosive behaviors.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Intervene to assist classroom staff in managing student behavior and providing support when students require behavioral interventions.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Provide immediate one-on-one support to students who display impulsive behaviors, low self-esteem and impaired social skills.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Participate in and foster the schoolwide PBIS program by modeling positive behaviors and interactions with students, and student expectations throughout the school.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Work with school staff to implement PBIS Tier II and Tier III interventions for students.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Understand and be able to implement Crisis support plans.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Demonstrate deescalating skills in assisting students who are losing or have lost control and need adult support to regain self-regulation.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Work with school, clinical staff, and family members to develop and implement FBA&#39;s and BIP&#39;s, and other support plans for individual students.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Participate in team, classroom or other staff meetings using collaboration and conflict resolution strategies.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Supervise students in multiple student activities including classrooms, arrival and dismissal, cafeteria, hallways, bus loading and unloading, field trips, and other areas where students gather.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Maintain a high level of confidentiality of student information following agency, state and federal regulations.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Complete and return all forms, reports, and other required reporting documentation promptly.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Participate in ongoing professional development required by the Agency, New York State, and federal regulators.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Consult with classroom staff to use and implement classroom management techniques to maintain a safe productive learning environment.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Requirements and Education:</strong> &bull; High School Degree or GED with at least three years of experience required</p>\n\n<p>&bull; TCI certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; A valid NYS driver&#39;s license is required.</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Must be able to lift 35 pounds.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Benefits</strong> &bull; Health care package: medical, dental, and vision</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Tuition reimbursement</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Paid time off</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Holiday Pay</p>\n\n<p>&bull; 401 (K) plan</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Life Insurance</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Loan repayment assistance</p>\n\n<p>&bull; Free training/CEU opportunities</p>\n\n<p>Northern Rivers Family of Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
